Business of Cannabis: New York

November 3, 2022

After “a year that has almost definitely cemented New York as the capital of cannabis”, Business of Cannabis returned to the state for its second year.

In November 2022, Business of Cannabis: New York brought 400 delegates and speakers to explore what’s changed in the last year, and the new opportunities that have arisen. Influential leaders in politics, business, law, and finance met at the historic New York Academy of Medicine to discuss the direction of the legal cannabis industry across the tri-state area.

Over 40 distinguished speakers such as Crystal Peoples-Stokes (NYS Assembly Majority Leader), Axel Bernabe (Chief of Staff & Senior Policy Director at the Office for Cannabis Management), Tremaine Wright (Chair of the New York Cannabis Control Board ), Yoko Miyashita (CEO, Leafly) and Corné Melissen (Owner, Kenzoll), delivered a full day of exceptional insights

“We are not opening ‘a store’, but there will be stores open by the end of the year. We will keep opening until 150 are open across the state.”

— Axel Bernabe
Chief of Staff & Senior Policy Director at the Office for Cannabis Management
